Although this book was published over 50 years ago it's condition is such that if told it was published last year you would have no doubt of the truth of the statement. For a large heavy book it is simply in remarkable condition ! . K-2-B . ; 9-1/2" x 12-1/2" XVI 307pp. Light tan cloth with bright gold lettering in spine and front cover panels; a handsome very solid feeling book published in 1967 not a recent reprint. NATURE. "There are three great values to this book which are rarely combined in the same publication a fact that makes it unique in many respects. The primary value is of course a further demonstration of Audubon's extraordinary talents frequently supplemented by the work of his son John who either assisted in the preparation of or was himself responsible for many paintings. Another value is that this book with its revisions of descriptive matter qualifies it as an important and authentic source of information concerning the quadrupeds of this country enriched it must be added by the comparisons of knowledge in this science of more than a century ago to that of today.
