I volumi riportano tutte le registrazioni dei cani di razza al L.O.I (Libro delle Origini), seguendo un criterio di divisione in cinque grandi gruppi di razze (con relative ripartizioni in sottogruppi): Razze da ferma: Razze da caccia non da ferma; Razze di utilita'; Razze da gregge; Barboni e razze da compagnia. Tale criterio, adottato dall'ENCI nel 1953, intendeva evitare l'iscrizione al registro L.O.I. progressiva, senza distinzioni tra gruppi e razze. Oltre gli organigrammi dell'Ente, i volumi riportano l'elenco delle sezioni riconosciute, l'elenco delle razze canine e dei relativi sottogruppi, i vincitori dei vari campionati dell'anno di pubblicazione e i cani iscritti, con relativo numero, anno di nascita, descrizione dell'animale, allevatore e proprietario. Indici per nome e numero. Raro.
