Frank Waters wrote 27 books including novels biographies histories and essay collections. The majority of his fiction and non-fiction mirrors Waters' wide interest in the culture and religion of Navajo Hopi Pueblo and pre-Columbian peoples. He felt that all his books were immediate failures in the beginning.
