Tips of the corners are bumped and worn through to boards.Outside covers have some streaks and light foxing and the rear cover has a light reddish 1" moisture stain on the bottom edge. The pages are stiff paper and lightly and evenly toned throughout. The hinge is exposed but strong between the sixth and seventh page. There is foxing on the hinge side of some but not all of the pages. Offsetting from the maroon free end papers to the second free end papers. "5 cent" in pencil on front free end paper that is barely visible against the maroon color. Charming black and white drawings illustrate every text page. The tale of Mr. Tootleoo is written in rhyming couplets. This is the first reprint of The Tale of Mr. Tootleoo published in 1925 and Tootleoo Two published in 1927.
