Questo libro, che verrà distribuito gratuitamente alle popolazioni del Kosovo in lingua serba e in lingua albanese, illustra in modo semplice e conciso le tecniche agronomiche da adottare per ogni singola coltura, mese per mese. Ampio spazio è dato alla meccanizzazione agricola attraverso le illustrazioni dei principali macchinari da utilizzare per le coltivazioni. Viene trattato inoltre il tema dell'agricoltura biologica e vengono esposte le tipologie di lavorazioni su sodo del terreno. Gli autori si augurano che questo volume possa contribuire al miglioramento delle tecniche colturali utilizzate dagli agricoltori kosovari, sia dal punto di vista produttivo che per quanto riguarda l'educazione all'uso ponderato di prodotti quali concimi e diserbanti.

Storia dei Bachi da Seta governati coi nuovi metodi nel 1817 nel Regno Lombardo-Veneto e altrove con osservazioni del Conte Dandolo, Cavaliere di Seconda Classe della Corona Ferrea, Membro della Legione d’Onore e dell’Istituto Reale delle Scienze Lettere ed Arti, uno dei quaranta della Società Italiana.
In 8° (19,8x13 cm); 494, (2 di errata) e 2 c. di tav. fuori testo più volte ripiegate. Opera in buono stato di conservazione. Bella legatura coeva in mezza pelle, piatti foderati con carta marmorizzata. Tagli spruzzati i rosso. Titolo, autore e fregi in oro al dorso. Allo stesso dorso, sempre in oro, le iniziali dell’antico proprietario che identificano l’esemplare come appartenuto al Marchese Ludovico Guarenti. Le proprietà della celebre famiglia veronese dei Guarienti a Valeggio sul Mincio, dove vi era il palazzo di campagna di famiglia fin dal quattrocento, vennero disperse, in una celebre vendita pubblica, proprio alla morte di Ludovico Guarienti, nel 1859. All’inizio dell’opera dedicatoria di Dandolo a Carlo Verri. Prima edizione di questo celeberrimo studio dedicato alla storia della bachicoltura ed alla produzione della seta, scritto dal celebre agronomo, scienziato e politico veneziano, Vincenzo Dandolo (Venezia, 22 o 26 ottobre 1758 – Varese, 12 dicembre 1819). Il conte Vincenzo Dandolo fu figura di spicco della storia italiana. Fautore e animatore della Repubblica Veneta durante il periodo napoleonico si industriò in ogni modo per scongiurare il ritorno degli austriaci a Venezia, arrivando ad offrire a Napoleone 18.000 soldati pagati di suo pugno. Fu in contatto con i più accesi patrioti italiani e grazie a lui, durante il periodo della Repubblica veneta, vennero abolite numerose leggi liberticide, come quelle che limitavano la libertà di stampa e quelle che ostacolavano le riunioni dei circoli costituzionali. Finito il periodo napoleonico, deluso dalla situazione politica, si ritirò a Varese dove riprese i suoi amati studi scientifici. Vincenzo Virginio
Trattato di coltivazione delle patate o sia pomi di terra volgarmente detti tartiffle
In 8 (cm 15 x 21,5), pp. 32. Brossura muta coeva con qualche foro ai piatti. Edizione originale non datata, ma ascritta - a seconda delle bibliografie consultate - a date differenti (1795, 1799, 1800), di questo raro saggio scritto da Vincenzo Virginio, avvocato, agronomo per vocazione, nato a Cuneo nel 1752. Virginio inizio' a studiare la coltivazione delle patate, arrivate dall'America gia' nel Cinquecento, ma non utilizzate nell'alimentazione dell'uomo, e capi' che la loro coltivazione era semplice e che il tubero resisteva ad ogni accidente climatico. L'avvocato cuneese si fece vero e proprio promotore della diffusione dell'ortaggio iniziando anche a distribuirle gratuitamente nei mercati di Torino. A Pinerolo impianto' una coltivazione intensiva di patate continuando la distribuzione gratuita. Non ottenne pero' un grande riscontro - pur avendo dato avvio alla coltivazione della patata in Piemonte - e mori' in solitudine nel 1830. Manno, "Bibliografia storica degli Stati della Monarchia di Savoia", 2407, p. 168 cita anche 1 tavola (non menzionata invece negli esemplari censiti in iccu). La tavola, ad eccezione del Manno, non e' citata in altre bibliografie consultate (ad esempio Fumi, "Fonti per la storia dell'agricoltura italiana", 39, p. 6), quindi e' plausibile ritenere completo il nostro esemplare.

Très tôt il s’intéressa à la minéralogie et à l’histoire naturelle. Il fut un des savants qui contribua au développement des sciences en Suède. Wallerius mourut en 1785. Le baron d’Holbach a traduit plusieurs de ses livres. Publié par Wallerius, cet ouvrage est en réalité une thèse soutenue à Upsal en 1761 par le Comte Gustave Adolphe de GYLLENBORG, sous la présidence de Wallerius (voir note pp. 9-10 du volume).Bel exemplaire.
