La prima parte si occupa della materia medico - farmaceutica, la seconda i medicamenti composti e preparati, l'appendice e' dedicata alla disinfezione degli scabbiosi.

ril. In questo erbario del 1522 siamo di fronte ad una delle prime sistematizzazioni delle piante medicinali che vengono presentate con una parte grafica ed una che illustra le proprietà e i campi di applicazione, mettendo in risalto anche gli effetti secondari. La loro classificazione viene fatta secondo un criterio energetico, ovviamente, e non chimico data l'epoca e ciò permette una visione più completa della pianta stessa e delle sue molteplici attività. Un testo potremmo dire "moderno" nonostante i suoi cinquecento anni, in quanto olistico nel vero senso della parola.

Volume in 4°, legatura del tempo in mezza tela, sguardie, frontespizio, prefazione, 32 pp. non numerate di testo, 13 tavole f.t. di cui l'ultima contiene due riproduzioni di documenti autografi di Linneo, un unica tavola a colori rappresenta la famosa Chene-Chapelle d'Allouville (una Cappella scavata all'interno di un albero dall'esistenza stimata di 800 anni), mentre le altre tavole contengono numerose incisioni botaniche. Manca in questo esemplare, l'antiporta con il ritratto di Linneo. E' appena visibile una lievissima gora all'angolo interno superiore delle prime carte ed al margine inferiore del volume. Interessante e poco comune opera composta in omaggio al Principe dei Botanici.
