Der kunstsinnige Mäzan Ernst Ludwig von Hessen-Darmstadt unterstütte das Unternehmen bis zu seinem Tod. Der mit Fuhrmann befreundete Künstler und Werbegrafiker Johannes Molzahn (1892-1965) entwarf das Verlagssignet und verlieh den Büchern ihre markante Gestaltung. Die Aufnahmen werden Albert Renger-Patzsch mehrheitlich zugeschrieben, einem der Pioniere der Avantgarde-Fotografie und der "Neuen Sachlichkeit", der sich intensiv der Pflanzenfotografie widmete.-- Papier etw. nachgedunkelt und teils leicht gewellt (feuchtigkeitsbedingt bedingt), Innenklammern mit Rostspuren. L’amateur y trouvera la présentation d’arbres et de plantes sacrés servant aux préparations d’élixirs qui ont très certainement inspiré ces artisans de Dieu. Les plantes sont, pour l’humanité, des alliés d’une immense puissance. Et les moines, artisans liquoristes de grande classe, ont eu cette conscience que toute la richesse du végétal est mise à notre disposition par le Créateur.
