‎Blumen der Alpen. In 4 Mappen.‎

‎(Leipzig & Wiebaden), Insel, 1960-1963, in-Folio, 4 x 25 Blatt (insges. Geleitwort, in 4 orig. Halbpergament-Mappen.

The printing story of these marvellous handcoloured woodcuts started in 1938 by Weisz. Hand-printed during the war by Fritz Arnold (he died during the war) finished by Weisz after World War II and beautifully hand-coloured by E. Schauer. It was only in 1960-63 that this fine series of 100 woodcuts was published by Insel Verlag in Leipzig. Only 200 copies were printed. WV Nr 433; Sarkowski 1892; Perret - Image disp.‎

‎Weinmann Johann Wilhelm (1683-1741)‎

‎Apios Americana, Ischas...‎

Bibliografia: Pritzel, Georg August.
