MOORE] [John
The Navy and the Y Scheme.
4to., First Edition, with a frontispiece, numerous illustrations and drawings in the text and pictorial endpapers; original pictorial wrappers, edges very lightly browned else a very good, clean copy. One of a series of wartime booklets issued through the Ministry of Information and designed both as mild propaganda pieces and commentaries on the progress of the war. This title was written anonymously by John Moore (later the author of the well-known 'Brensham' trilogy and many other works) largely to promote the RN's 'Y' Scheme for the pre-entry training of young men and women. Morton Nicholas
Gli Stati crociati e i loro vicini. Una storia militare, 1099-1187
br.
