Et enrichie de plusieurs Tableaux, et d'une carte de la place et des environs de Gênes.‎

‎Paris, Magimel, an IX (1801).in-4. 269 pp.-2 tableaux dépliants et 1 grande carte dépliante. Demi-basane fauve. Dos lisse, pièce de titre rouge. Le dos, très frotté, a visiblement été recollé.‎

‎Cette deuxième édition est précédée d'une lettre préface de Masséna : "Il est impossible d'être plus exact dans les détails, plus rigoureusement vrai dans les raisonnements, et plus juste dans les conséquences..." "J'ai aimé à remarquer le soin particulier avec lequel vous vous êtes plus à rendre justice aux corps qui ont défendu Gênes, et aux chefs de tous grades sous les ordres desquels ils ont combattu durant cette période si pénible et si glorieuse pour eux tous". Ayant débuté comme simple grenadier de la garde parisienne en 1789, puis engagé dans le 13e bataillon des volontaires de Paris, Paul Thiébault conquière vite les grades et finit général de brigade en 1801 après le siège de Gênes, qui s'est soldé par la capitulation des français affamés par les troupes autrichiennes.‎

‎Het einde van 1914 nadert en de bewegingsoorlog is vastgelopen. Koning Albert staat voor een dilemma. Hoe kan hij ingaan op de Britse en Franse verzoeken om meer steun voor hun offensieven en tegelijkertijd ervoor zorgen dat er spaarzaam wordt omgesprongen met Belgische soldaten ? Hoe kan hij bovendien erop toezien dat het Belgisch Leger op Belgische bodem wordt ingezet en zo symbool blijft voor de nationale eenheid? Het inzetten van een regiment veldartillerie in de Ieperboog blijkt een werkbare oplossing. Eerst onder de vorm van een voorlopige eenheid, samengesteld uit de artillerie van de 18e en 19e Gemengde Brigades, daarna als de 7e en 13e Regimenten Artillerie die buiten de normale structuur van de legerafdelingen vallen. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Spine is missing from the atlas volume with the front board barely attached to the spine. The army originally fought under the name Army of the Ohio until Maj. Gen. William S. Rosecrans assumed command of it along with the Department of the Cumberland; he thus changed the name of the newly combined entity to the Army of the Cumberland. Under Major General George H. Thomas who took command in October of 1863 the Unit played a major role in Sherman's March to Atlanta. In all; the Army of the Cumberland played important roles in the battles of Stones River Chickamauga Chattanooga-Ringgold Peachtree Creek Kennesaw Mountain and Nashville.
