Pasted onto the rear blank page is a contemporary real albumen photograph 115 x 155 mm of a monument in the churchyard at Newchurch in Rosendale - "sacred to the memory of Old Thu Methuselah Yates Died 27th February 1860 aged 78. Hew was a huntsman of Harrier's for 50 years Five and twenty of which were with the Rosendale Hunt. Erected by the members of the Rossendale Hunt." Due to the fact that the monument looks pristine and newly-completed the photograph must be very near contemporary with the publication of the book.
