Stralcio dagli Atti del Real Istituto d'incoraggiamento alle scienze naturali di Napoli, tomo VII. Interessante e raro catalogo della flora lucana compilato nel periodo in cui l'A. visse a Balvano. Tuttavia - come egli stesso spiega - le ricerche della flora locale furono poi estese attraverso la perlustarzione di 'alcuni paesi limitrofi appartennenti alla provincia di Salerno come sono quelli di Ricigliano e S. Gregorio... L'oggetto principale... non e' solo di far note l piant rare che si rinvengono in quelle regioni... ma bennache... aggiungervi la descrizione di una nuova specie di Seseli che ho designato col nome di Lucanicum da me rinvenuta sulle inaccessibili rupi dette Le Armi che appartengono al comune di Balvano...'. Nel catalogo, oltre al nome della pianta, e' indicato il luogo in cui e' stata rinvenuta la pianta e il periodo della fioritura.
