Volume II ONLY comprising 572 pages of text; 88 single page lithographed plates and one double-page lithographed plate 11 3/4 x 9 1/2 inches gilt embossed cloth covered boards hardbound. Foxing to a number of plates; water spotting in upper margin of several plates. The initial two plates have been embellished with clumsily executed water-coloring. The volume is tightly bound with embossed front cover; corners of covers bumped and abraded; bottom and top edge of front cover abraded. Paper-backed cloth spine with title etc. detached from volume but present for restoration. Water staining in top margin of first 300 text pages rapidly diminishing as the pages unfold. Similar water staining to first five plates. Overall condition fair to good with condition issues noted. Full title of the volume is "A Flora of the State of New York Comprising Full Descriptions of all the Indigenous and Naturalized Plants Hitherto Discovered in the State; with Remarks on their Economical and Medicinal Properties." The volume is "secured for the benefit of the People of the State of New York." As is often the case with volumes of the Natural History of New York the foxing is erratic; heavy on certain pages and absent on companion pages.
