RONDANI, entomologo che già dopo il 1840 godeva fama internazionale, pubblicò 158 scritti e trattati, perlopiù sui DITTERI.sia italiani che esotici, con descrizioni e pionieristici tentativi di sistematicità; e con contributi indsigni alla "lotta biologica" che sfrutta l'antagonismo tra afidi, predatori, e parassitoidi, distinguendo il ruolo preminente degli insetti ausiliari, rispetto agli uccelli insettivori, nel controllo naturale degli insetti fitofagi. (wiki). SBN censisce altri due precedenti estratti del Rondani, ma non questo, che tratta una "stirps" diversa. In fine "Generun et specierum Index". Raro e rilevante.
