Pergens. probably Dr Eduard Pergens, Bruxelles), paper slightly yellowed, overall a very good copy. NB: the seven folding plates present are presumably from the first edition in English (transl. Thorpe and Glickstein, Springfield 1972). pp247-255 (part of the original paper) contain the explanation to the plates. In French. Very rare first publication (paper submitted on 27 Nov 1892) of one of the most important works by Santiago Ramon y Cajal who shared the Nobel prize for physiology or medicine in 1906 with the Italian Camillo Golgi. Additional photos are available on request. Dalla rivista belga La Cellule). Rilegatura moderna tutta pelle beige, piatti con cornice dorata e scritte e fregi sul dorso in ottime condizioni, timbro di appartenenza al frontespizio (Ed. Pergens.), fogli leggermente ingialliti, nel complesso in ottime condizioni. NB: le sette tavole ripiegate sono state presumibilmente tratte dalla prima edizione in inglese (1972, trad.
