‎New Haven, London, Yale University Press, (2010). 4°. Mit ca. 400 Duotone Tafeln. OLn. mit OU. in Orig.-Versandkarton. 3 Bände.‎

‎Vgl. Koetzle, Fotografen A-Z 9. - R. H. Adams (geb.

Prima edizione di 100 esemplari numerati e firmati (First edition of 100 numbered and signed copies). . "Being of small size, Sally prudently favored doing most of her adventuring within a fenced back yard. She claimed the right, nonetheless, to be wherever there was fun, and so the three of us explored together the Pawnee National Grassland. Sally's feeling for the open plains went something like this: 'I love the prairie - its grass and bugs - but if there's worry I'll get a carry and see for miles inside a hug'"."Essendo di piccole dimensioni, Sally preferiva prudentemente condurre le sue avventure in un cortile recintato, sostenendo il diritto, comunque, di essere ovunque ci fosse divertimento.

A reworking of a series of photographs made in the mid-1980s at Colorado's Pawnee National Grassland and first published under the title Perfect Times, Perfect Places, this pair of books conveys the privilege and sensory pleasure of walking a vast, open space. With Kerstin, his wife, and Sally, their dog, Robert Adams would drive out to the reserve to experience silence, stillness and affection. Although he is perhaps best known for picturing a damaged American geography, here Adams has recorded scenes that are flawless. ‎Addabbo Daria; Castaldo Gino‎

‎This hard land. Sulle strade di Springsteen. Ediz. illustrata‎

‎ill., ril.

‎Adducchio Gaia; Luzi B. (cur.)‎

‎Totem‎

‎ill.

‎Adelaide Claxton & Charles H Ross‎

‎A Shillingsworth of Sugar-Plums. & Mottoes and Labels and other Literary Sweetstuff‎

‎London: Judy" Office 1875. Hardcover. Very Good. 8" x 5. Adelaide Claxton. From wikipedia: "Adelaide Sophia Claxton 10 May 1841 – 29 August 19271 was a British painter illustrator and inventor. She was one of the first women artists to make a major part of her living through the commercial press selling satirical and comic illustrations to more than half a dozen periodicals." <br> <br>This Claxton book is subtitled Several Hundreds of Num-nums and Nicy-nicies. Claxton did mostly illustrations for periodicals - she only produced two books which are quite rare. This book is filled with her often comic illustrations. <br> <br>Is this a first edition The second author Ross has a preface dated 1875. That is the only date in the book. With a lot of searching of the internet we found an image of a different title page - the different one is in color and lacks the subtitle Several Hundreds of Num-nums and Nicy-nicies. The color title page looks like it might be from a soft cover edition but that is not clear. <br><br>The book is half leather on brown cloth. The spine has five hubs and a label. Corners and extremities are quite worn but the binding is very solid. Full refund if not satisfied. Judy" Office hardcover‎

‎OS RAPACES DOS TANQUES‎

‎Hardcover, 190 pages, PORTUGUES, 295 x 250 x 20 mm, dustjacket,( sobrecapa), in very good condition! ilustrado em fotografias p/b. ISBN 9789720046345. "Os Rapazes dos Tanques" is a tribute to the Cavalry men who ended 48 years of dictatorship, in particular Captain Salgueiro Maia?, edited in 2014, when the 40th anniversary of the Revolution was celebrated. Alfredo Cunha's photographs, taken on April 25, 1974, taken from 6:45 am, between Terreiro do Paço and Largo do Carmo, as well as those of the PIDE headquarters, taken the following day, make a sequential record of the Carnation Revolution and are complemented by interviews conducted by Adelino Gomes with thirty-two soldiers who participated in the revolution and Natércia Salgueiro Maia, widow of the Captain, creating a historical record and ?leading us to (re)live those hours and to understand the doubts, the fears, the anxiety, the tension, the hope, the joys experienced by citizens who, after that day, returned, in most cases, to anonymity. And to know, too, the look that these men have on the country forty years later.?‎

‎Gentleman of Leisure: A Year in the Life of a Pimp‎

‎New York : PowerHouse Books 2006. 1st. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 192 pages. Hardcover with dust jacket. Clean unmarked copy with only minor wear to dust jacket. Black and white pictures throughout. Every city-dweller has seen them and ever city-dweller could list the telltale signs: the fur the gold the hats the cars. They are the original macks the original players. They are Big City pimps—the heroes of gangsta rap. Bob Adelman and Susan Hall dive headlong into their world in the classic investigative docudrama Gentleman of Leisure: A Year in the Life of a Pimp an in-depth exploration of the underworld figures that populate our streets at night. The first book of its kind Gentleman of Leisure originally published in 1972 and now reproduced in a facsimile edition is a collection of photographs and interviews dramatically documenting the private life of a pimp and his prostitutes. The people who appear in this book are not models: they are real people with real lives. Only their names have been changed to protect the guilty their stories are real. Armed only with a camera and a tape recorder Adelman and Hall entered the lives of the pimp Silky and his women. What they found flew in the face of prevailing prejudices: stripped of stereotype and myth the pimps and whores that shared their tales were complex people embroiled in romantic dramas with a code of behavior as intricate as the Mafia’s and a defined sense of self.
