Questo film documentario mostra la storia della creazione di Vanished Spain di Carlos Saura, un libro di foto di Saura sull'Andalusia e la Spagna centrale alla fine degli anni 50, pubblicato da Steidl nel 2016. Da giovane il grande regista spagnolo Saura non sapeva bene cosa voleva diventare: pilota di moto, ballerino di flamenco o fotografo. 60 anni, 40 film e numerosi premi dopo, il cinema si è rivelato l'obiettivo di Saura, ma la sua passione per la fotografia scorre come un filo rosso nella sua carriera e nella sua vita. Infatti il suo studio di Madrid assomiglia oggi a un museo della fotografia, pieno di curiosità, di Leica d'epoca e di macchine fotografiche autocostruite. Quando gli editori Hans Meinke e Gerhard Steidl hanno deciso di pubblicare l'opera fotografica di Saura, in gran parte sconosciuta, non si aspettavano di scoprire gli avvincenti paesaggi, i villaggi, le corride e le persone di un'altra epoca che compongono il ritratto personale di Saura della Spagna degli anni '50 e trasgrediscono l'immaginario propagandistico del regime di Franco. Né si aspettavano i colpi di scena della creazione del libro con Saura, un artista che si definisce risolutamente un "dilettante della fotografia". Il volume, di grande formato e stampato in quadricromia, propone le immagini scattate nel 2016 dal fotografo Luciano Adriani nel Bosco Martese, in provincia di Teramo, nell'area del Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga. Il luogo fu teatro il 25 settembre 1943 del primo scontro vittorioso in campo aperto della Resistenza italiana contro l'esercito nazista, come certificò tempo dopo Ferruccio Parri, antifascista amico di Rosselli e Turati, fondatore del Partito d'Azione e delle formazioni partigiane di Giustizia e Libertà, primo presidente del Consiglio dei ministri. Luciano Adriani ha fotografato tra gli alberi del bosco un gruppo di studenti di Scienze della Comunicazione dell'Università teramana, ritraendoli come ideali testimoni di un episodio cruciale della storia passata, trasfigurato e ricordato simbolicamente. Le sue immagini ritraggono anche gli alberi della faggeta, cogliendone l'aspetto antropomorfo, le "facce", elevandoli quasi a simulacri dei partigiani che in quei luoghi combatterono. Contributo storico di Francesca Fausta Gallo e Pasquale Iuso (UNITE). In collaborazione con Ass. Cult. Artruv'Arte e Università degli Studi di Teramo (UNITE).

Hier wurde ein historisches Flugzeug (oder ein Nachbau) auf einem Landeplatz in drei verschiedenen Perspektiven fotografiert. Es handelt sich um ein frühes Doppeldeckerflugzeug mit Motor und Propeller. Das Flugzeug besitzt keine Kabine, lediglich einen Sitz innerhalb der Rahmenkonstruktion.
