ill., br. La collaborazione di Mauro Fiorese con il Centro Internazionale di Fotografia Scavi Scaligeri si è sviluppata nel corso degli anni con modalità diverse, ma con molti tratti comuni. Ci si può azzardare a dire che la crescita professionale di Mauro sia coincisa con la parallela crescita dell'esperienza del Centro degli Scavi Scaligeri. L'esordio è nel 2001 con Two spirits: una mostra nella quale Fiorese, poco più che trentenne, presenta il suo lavoro di fotografo, facendolo dialogare - e qui si vede già in nuce quella attitudine per la curatela che sarà poi il segno distintivo della sua collaborazione con il Centro - con le opere di un autore americano, Keith Carter, in una mostra particolare e molto intima, giocata solo sul bianco e nero. Carter e Fiorese sono due spiriti che si riconoscono nella ricerca di una fotografia che sappia cogliere nei minuti particolari della quotidianità quel senso di mistero e di poesia che costringe, anche solo per un istante, a fermarsi e riflettere. Di nuovo, nel 2008 un suo lavoro sulla boxe comparirà nella mostra collettiva Young Days, dedicata ai giovani fotografi di Verona che lui, con il suo lavoro di insegnante presso l'Accademia e all'Università, molto aveva contribuito a catalizzare nell'associazione Larterìa.

ill., ril. Un'opera architettonica non vive esclusivamente nella condizione fisica realizzata. Esiste lo sconfinato universo della sua rappresentazione che anticipa, affianca e, in alcuni casi, supera l'esistenza del manufatto. Nel caso di Franco Purini il disegno architettonico non è solamente lo strumento attraverso il quale si definiscono le questioni formali dell'opera. La complessa densità della china su carta raggiunge una autonomia espressiva che rende il disegno opera stessa. Ogni disegno raggiunge un ordine parziale e temporaneo che pone all'architetto ulteriori domande necessarie all'avanzare del lavoro. L'opera realizzata diviene poi un testo aperto alle interpretazioni, tra cui quella fotografica. La fotografia non descrive la realtà, inventa un mondo parallelo che traduce quello di riferimento estraendo da esso i significati più profondi. La costruzione di immagini fotografiche diventa una sorta di rivelazione che nasce da un intenso esercizio di visione della realtà. Disegno e fotografia si pongono quindi in posizione simmetrica rispetto all'opera realizzata e sono indispensabili linguaggi per comprendere le ragioni fondamentali dell'architettura.

In questo caso sarò a Zoagli […]“. Interventista e volontario, Benelli durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale ricoprì i gradi di ufficiale.
