‎- Paris circa 1875, 13,2x21,8cm, une photographie. - Photographie originale montée sur un carton rigide, représentant Fernand Destouches, père de l'écrivain Louis-Ferdinand Céline (en haut à droite) posant aux côtés de ses frères René, Georges et Charles - de haut en bas et de gauche à droite. Bords du carton rigide émoussés. Ce portrait des quatre frères Destouches en uniforme au col lauré, date de leurs heureuses années d'écolier au lycée du Havre. La photographie, véritable incarnation d'un passé insouciant et révolu, devait indiscutablement revêtir une importance aux yeux des quatre frères, qui reproduiront à l'âge adulte la pose exacte de ce portrait d'enfance pour un second portrait, familial, conservé dans la collection de François Gibault (Anton, Sonia, «?Louis-Ferdinand Céline, d'un Havre à l'autre?: entre autofiction, transposition et imaginaire?», Le Territoire littéraire du Havre dans la première moitié du XXè siècle, 2013, fig. 20, photographie prise vers 1905). Notre photographie est reproduite en page 11 de l'Album Céline (Gallimard, 1977). Né en 1865 dans cette même ville, Fernand Destouches devenu maréchal des logis puis triste employé d'assurances, en garde une passion pour la mer et ses vaisseaux. Il occupe une place de choix dans le second roman de son fils, Mort à crédit, dans lequel Céline noircit encore davantage les aspirations avortées et l'impossible caractère de son père pour le personnage d'Auguste, père de Ferdinand?: «?Mon père il était pas commode. Une fois sorti de son bureau, il mettait plus que des casquettes, des maritimes. Ç'avait été toujours son rêve d'être capitaine au long cours. Ça le rendait bien aigri comme rêve. [...] C'était un gros blond, mon père, furieux pour des riens, avec un nez comme un bébé tout rond, au-dessus de moustaches énormes. Il roulait des yeux féroces quand la colère lui montait. Il se souvenait que des contrariétés. Il en avait eu des centaines. Au bureau des Assurances, il gagnait cent dix francs par mois. En fait d'aller dans la marine, il avait tiré au sort sept années dans l'artillerie. Il aurait voulu être fort, confortable et respecté. Au bureau de la Coccinelle ils le traitaient comme de la pane. L'amour-propre le torturait et puis la monotonie. Il n'avait pour lui qu'un bachot, ses moustaches et ses scrupules. Avec ma naissance en plus, on s'enfonçait dans la mistoufle?». Folio, 1952, p. 53) Ses trois oncles figurant sur la photographie - René, Georges et Charles - sont immortalisés et délicieusement malmenés dans Mort à crédit?: Rodolphe (René Destouches) «?Mais le plus cloche de la famille, c'était sûrement l'oncle Rodolphe, il était tout à fait sonné. Il se marrait doucement quand on lui parlait. Il se répondait à lui-même. Ça durait des heures. Il voulait vivre seulement qu'à l'air. Il a jamais voulu tâter d'un seul magasin, ni des bureaux, même comme gardien et même de nuit. Pour croûter, il préférait rester dehors, sur un banc. Il se méfiait des intérieurs. Quand vraiment il avait trop faim, alors, il venait à la maison. Il passait le soir. C'est qu'il avait eu trop d'échecs. La "bagotte", son casuel des gares, c'était un métier d'entraînement. Il l'a fait pendant plus de vingt ans. Il tenait la ficelle des "Urbaines", il a couru comme un lapin après les fiacres et les bagages, aussi longtemps qu'il a pu. Son coup de feu c'était le retour des vacances. Ça lui donnait faim son truc, soif toujours. Il plaisait bien aux cochers. À table, il se tenait drôlement. Il se levait le verre en main, il trinquait à la santé, il entonnait une chanson... Il s'arrêtait au milieu... Il se pouffait sans rime ni raison, il en bavait plein sa serviette... A copy for Turkish Byzantologist and art historian Semavi Eyice, (1922-2018) by (Istanbul Üniversitesi Tip Tarihi Enstitüsü Merkez Teknofotografi Laboratuvari) Istanbul University Institute of History Institute Central Techno-Photography Laboratory in 1972. Stamp of institute on verso besides name of Semavi Eyice. Photo shows the youth of Arseven with his wearing medal and military clothes. He made contributions to various fields, including photography, literary art history, theater, cinema, architecture and urbanism. He was one of the first to introduce the scholastic disciplines of history of art and architecture and urbanism to Turkey. He pioneered a unique "Turkish art" and pioneered the acceptance of the Turkish art concept. His 5-volume Art Encyclopedia is his most recognizable work. In 1908, with his friend Selah Cimcoz, Arseven released a comic magazine called Kalem. In the same year, he was sent to Europe by the Ministry of War to expose the works of Turkish painters and to give concerts with the Mabeyn orchestra. In 1910 he wrote the game "Selim-i Salis" with Selah Cimcoz. The game, which received great interest, was published in 1958 as "Selim III" and was staged at the State Theater. In 1917 he wrote and directed Koruyan olu and in 1918 he wrote Alemdar Mustafa Pasa (play). During World War I, he was at Kadiköy Municipality Branch Directorate, and then organized exhibition arrangements for artists in Europe. Also during World War I, while in Germany he and his friends founded a company called Transorient Film. In 1917, a contemporary adaptation of Goethe's Faust was filmed in Munich in the name of "Die Tote Watch."... (Source: Wikipedia).‎

A copy for Turkish Byzantologist and art historian Semavi Eyice, (1922-2018) by (Istanbul Üniversitesi Tip Tarihi Enstitüsü Merkez Teknofotografi Laboratuvari) Istanbul University Institute of History Institute Central Techno-Photography Laboratory in 1972. Stamp of institute on verso besides name of Semavi Eyice. Photo shows with a fez on his head and in plain clothes. He made contributions to various fields, including photography, literary art history, theater, cinema, architecture and urbanism. He was one of the first to introduce the scholastic disciplines of history of art and architecture and urbanism to Turkey. He pioneered a unique "Turkish art" and pioneered the acceptance of the Turkish art concept. His 5-volume Art Encyclopedia is his most recognizable work. In 1908, with his friend Selah Cimcoz, Arseven released a comic magazine called Kalem. In the same year, he was sent to Europe by the Ministry of War to expose the works of Turkish painters and to give concerts with the Mabeyn orchestra. In 1910 he wrote the game "Selim-i Salis" with Selah Cimcoz. The game, which received great interest, was published in 1958 as "Selim III" and was staged at the State Theater. In 1917 he wrote and directed Koruyan olu and in 1918 he wrote Alemdar Mustafa Pasa (play). During World War I, he was at Kadiköy Municipality Branch Directorate, and then organized exhibition arrangements for artists in Europe. Also during World War I, while in Germany he and his friends founded a company called Transorient Film. In 1917, a contemporary adaptation of Goethe's Faust was filmed in Munich in the name of "Die Tote Watch."... (Source: Wikipedia).‎
