1987. 1987. Fine. SIGNED LIMITED EDITION OF ONLY 20 COPIES - sc A superb 10-1/4 inch high by 3-1/4 inch wide photogravure at the top of a 24 inch high by 20 inch wide sheet of hand-made poster paper. The soft sienna-toned image depicts the river in a bucolic country setting with a lush willow in the foreground woods and brush on the bank of an island and with the far bank merely glimpsed in the early morning fog. The photogravure is signed in full by David Hanson in pencil and numbered by the photographer. Tastefully printed in sienna on two lines along the lower half of the poster sheet is the title "The Hudson River" followed by the photographer's name "David A. Hanson". A fine beautiful poster. <p>Limited edition of only 20 copies signed by the photographer.<p>A student of Minor White David A. Hanson is a teacher of photography at Farleigh-Dickenson University. Among his works are a portfolio entitled "Miss Liberty: A Volume of Nine Collotypes" and a portfolio of photogravures of "The Hudson River". [1987]. unknown

Putting aside the conventions of 35mm and documentary photography I became part of the event itself. I used continuous time exposures while hand-cranking the film through the camera."
