‎HARTFORD WISCONSIN: 2 Cabinet Card Photos of Dennison Liver and Coerper Building John Pierpont Denison Home Ephemera‎

‎Hartford Wisconsin Two related cabinet card photos plus an item of ephemera. The photos are 1 7 x 9-3/8 -inch photo on about 11 x 14 dark card. The large building in photo number one depicts "Denison Liver and Coerper" dry goods and clothing store in Hartford Wisconsin late 1890s. The name is spelled out on the awning. The windows display men's hats and clothing plus a female manikin and women's clothing and accessories. Other businesses identifiable in the building are E.H. Ehlert M.D. and Zahnarzt Dentist. Next door is H. Lau Harness Maker. View along the side of the building includes one other building with a horse and buggy in front and a view of a river or lake. There is also a horse tied at a post in front of the main building in the photo. Board sidewalks dirt streets. This photo has the blind stamp of what appears to be Sunderland Photography Hartford. The second photo is of the residence of John Pierpont Denison and Carrie Denison Palmer written on back dated June 8 1897. 7-3/4 x 9-1/2 photo on light gray card about 14 x 11 Hartford written in lower right corner. The photo is a side and front view of a white clapboard house with a large window bay and shutters. A horse and buggy are in the side yard with a woman is this Carrie standing beside it. Both photos are in very good condition with some soil and aging to the lighter card. In addition there is a funeral souvenir folder 5-1/2 x 3-1/4 inches folded in memory of John Pierpont Denison Born Aug. 6 1878 and died November 24 1943 in very good condition.
