This proud looking mother in a large picture hat doesn't appear to notice how quizzically her baby is regarding the photographer. Lovely detail in the hat lace cuffs on the dress and the baby is wearing a little gold bracelet. This would be a bad dress for that kid to burp up on! And how lovely and refreshing this young woman looks without benefit of tons of makeup. A nice studio shot printed in less than usual oval format. Very nice professional photo of a baby in a wicker chair playing with what appears to be a celluloid or early plastic doll. Handsigned photographer's name appears to be 'Slate.'
