Gutes Ex.; Einband stw. minimal berieben. - Mit mont., farbiger Vorderdeckel-Illustration und illustrierten Vorsätzen. - Die Spielzeugabteilung des Berlin Museums, die über etwa 2500 Objekte verfügt, wurde seit Bestehen des Hauses überwiegend durch Geschenke aus der Berliner Bevölkerung aufgebaut. Dabei zeigte sich, daß verschiedene Objekte wie zum Beispiel Baukästen oder Puppengeschirre sehr häufig ans Museum gelangten, während andere Bereiche so gut wie gar nicht vertreten waren. So fehlten bezeichnenderweise Spielsachen ärmerer Kinder, die weniger Spielzeug besaßen und es häufig an Geschwister und Verwandte weitergaben, so daß es einer größeren Abnutzung und auch der Zerstörung ausgesetzt war. Aber auch besonders kostbares Spielzeug blieb weitgehend aus, da das wohlhabende Bürgertum weniger dazu neigt, wertvolle Objekte an ein Museum zu verschenken.
