This copy is in good only condition with bumping to the corners and to the board edges cocked slightly forward. The binding is solid and all pages are clean and unmarked. The jacket is good only as well with matching bumps at the corners spine ends and edges but no tears. The jacket's panels have scuffing and light soil lacking brightness. Unpaginated filled with color photography of Sagarmatha National Park in Nepal inspite of the condition flaws a remarkable example of Hillary's signatures and handwriting along with the page at rear describing the process by which the book and letter were obtained. This is a mint copy of a 1948 Old Gold Cigarettes Jackie Robinson card with a black and white picture of Jackie Robinson on the front including his mimeographed signature underneath the following statement: "For a treat instead of a treatment.I recommend Old Gold cigarettes. Jackie Robinson". On the rear of the card is a 4 paragraph bio stating that his was signed to the Dogers early in 1947. The card is listed on page 292 in the 2004 SCD. There are actually 2 different poses of Robinson known the more common "dugout" pose which this card is and a very rare "jumping" pose with a different bio on back. The card is in excellent condition no creases tears or scribbles with a bright and vibrant tone to the photograph. Image available upon request. unknown
