Was war also die jahrhundertelange Absicht der Klubs sie zusammenzubringen? Die "Türkische Sportgeschichte" schrieben jene, die mit Zuversicht dafür kämpften und es ermöglichten, jene die den Sichel und Stern nicht nur auf dem Trikot sondern auch in ihrem Herzen trugen, unter einer Flagge zusammenzubringen. Ohne sie wäre es nicht möglich gewesen Sportgeschichte zu schreiben. In diesem Buch werdet ihr hunderte Menschen kennenlernen. Und im selben Maße viele Klubs... Vahram Papazyan, Rober Eryol und der weltbekannte Lefter welcher die Ehre- bete, das Nationaltrikot zu tragen und die türkische Fahne bei den Olympischen Spielen hissen zu lassen. Lefters Nachricht stellte ihn nicht nur als "Sportbegeisterten" dar, sondern trug auch die Aussage "eines friedlichen Miteinanderlebens". Sein Ruf des "Ordinarius" welcher unter dem türkischen Volk gängig war, war nicht nur der Titel dem ihm Ona Manol gab, sondern auch der Ausdruck eines mühsehlig erkämpften Lebens. Ausdruck eines Leben voller Ehre, Stolz und Verantwortung... Mit einer Träne setzen wir den Punkt und erinnern jene, die ohne zwischen Herkunft, Religion und Sprache zu unterscheiden tausenden Sportlern wie Lefter oder Vahram Papazyan ihre Herzen öffneten und dieses Land samt seiner Flagge in ihre Obhut gaben. Osmanli da, esas olarak yabancilar araciligiyla baslayan modern spor faaliyetleri çesitli baskilarla karsilasmis; özellikle futbol Türk sporculara yasaklanmisti. Öyle ki Türk futbolculardan bazilari sirf yasaklari delmek ugruna adlarini degistirip futbol oynamaya çalismislardi. II. Mesrutiyet ile birlikte gelen özgürlük ortami Türk sporcularin da sahalara çikmasina imkân sagladi. Cumhuriyet ile birlikte bu süreç hem büyük bir hiz kazandi, hem de kurumsallasti. 20. yüzyil basindan itibaren art arda kurulan Besiktas, Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe ve diger Türk kulüpleri yillarca Türk sporuna hizmet ederken, azinlik spor kulüpleri de çok iyi sporcular yetistirdiler ve bunlarin çogunu da bu üç büyük kulübe verdiler. Böylece Türk sporuna azinlik sporcularin katkilari yadsinamaz hale geldi. Aralarindan sayisiz milli sporcu, sayisiz sampiyon çikti. Ancak siyasi olaylarin getirdigi baskilar sonucu nüfuslari yavas yavas azalan gayrimüslim cemaatlerle birlikte azinlik kulüpleri de tek tek eridi, çogu sporcular yitip gitti. Maddi olanaklar tükendi, bu kulüpler kendi yaglariyla kavrulmayi sürdürdüler. Bugün artik Türk sporunda bir Vahram Papazyan, bir Tahtaperde Aleko, bir Büyük Garbis, bir Buduri, bir Garbis Zakaryan, bir Vartan Tetikbas, bir Garo Hamamcioglu, bir Kasapoglu, bir Niko Kovi, bir Violet Kostanda, bir Rober Eryol, bir Lale Kohen, bir "Ordinaryüs" Lefter çikmiyor. Ama hiç degilse anilari koruyabiliriz. Spor, müzik ve Adalar tarihleriyle ilgili çalismalariyla da bilinen Orhan Sevki, elinizdeki kitapla iste bunu yapiyor. Kitap, Azinlik Spor Kulüpleri ve Sporcular alanina giren her madde ve her ismi eksiksiz bir sekilde kapsama iddiasini tabii ki tasimiyor, ama okuyucuyu yukarida sayilan isimler ve daha niceleriyle, unutulmaz takimlarla, güzel anekdotlarla birlikte sporun hemen her dalinda bir zaman yolculuguna çikariyor.

Istanbulspor is a Turkish football and sports club founded by Kemal Halim Gürgen, (1899-1962) and Istanbul High School students on 4 January 1926, being one of the first sports clubs of the Turkish Republican period. Their greatest success is the Turkish championship title won in 1932. The colours of Istanbulspor are yellow and black, which are the colours of Istanbul High School. Also white is accepted as a third colour, but this is not official. Having represented Turkey in an international competition, Istanbulspor was granted the privilege to use the Turkish flag in its emblem, located on the top left corner. The emblem of Istanbul High School is in the middle. This is the book of Istanbulspor's founding regulations, so it's the first and only edition. Extremely rare booklet on Istanbul football and sports history. Not in Özege.; Not in OCLC.
