Le peintre chef de file de l'école néo-classique recommande son élève Albert Magimel (1799-1877) pour une commande publique de deux tableaux, probablement à la ville de Tours : "Cher ami, Il m'est venu une idée pour placer le tableau de M. Magimel, sans déranger l'ordre suivi. Ne pouvez-vous pas, pour figurer cet artiste au budget de la ville pour une commande de deux mille f. par exemple par laquelle somme il s'engage à vous faire deux tableaux au lieu d'un seul, vous faisant de suite ce tableau qui est fait en donnant quittance de la moitié de la somme. Vous aurez alors deux tableaux pour un [...]je vous jette ce projet, peut-être impraticable pour vous à votre bienveillante volonté, sans y attacher que l'intérêt que je porte à un ami". Peintre d'histoire, portraitiste, Albert Magimel fur l'élève et proche collaborateur d'Ingres dont il publia un catalogue raisonné de l'oeuvre peinte. On joint une belle lettre autographe de François Fédier adressée à Michel Deguy (2 ff. manuscrits sur papier bleuté), datée de mars 1973, qui expose plusieurs "lieux d'incertitude" de la traduction de La guerra santa et se propose "d'engueuler" Godofredo Iommi pour qu'il participe à cette traduction, "même si d'instinct je comprends pourquoi il ne veut pas, lui, traduire son poème". The collection before you is a selection of 39 manuscripts from the books of the great Persian thinker and poet, Mowlana Jalaleddin Mohammad Balkhi Rumi which are selected from among hundreds of manuscripts preserved in different museums and libraries throughout Iran. The oldest of this precious collection dates back to the 8th Century AH (14th Century AD) and the other manuscripts are produced later. Most of the manuscripts presented here belong to Mathnavi but some copies of Divan-e-Shams and Fih-e- Ma Fih are also being displayed here. This collection is prepared by the Cultural Affairs Deputy, Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance with collaboration of Iran Cultural fairs Institute in order to be presented in the International Conference on Commemoration of the 800th Anniversary of The Birth of Mowlana Jalal- Ud- Dine Balkhi- Rumi organized in Unesco.

Tapuscrit de 36 pages in-4° volantes. Chaque page traite un sujet différent par ordre chronologique depuis l'origine de la poste. Chaque étape est illustrée à part d'un ou plusieurs dessins à l'encre de chine sur un feuillet de papier fort in-8 ou in-4 et 3 sont sur calque. Il manque les dessins numéros 20 (les ancêtres, les feux conventionnels de signalisation, le tam-tam), 22 ( cabinet noir), 32 et 33 (les marques et timbres à date historiés). Au total nous possédons 32 planches originales sur 36 dont 29 signées par Iselin et 1 monogrammée. Certains des dessins qui présentent plusieurs sujets ont été légendés par une autre main à l'encre bleue ou à la mine de plomb. Complet du texte, avec de très rares corrections, et 32 planches sur 36.

Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Original manuscript autograph letter signed (ALS) sent to Darülbedayi actor Behzad Bey [Haki Butak]. 21,514 cm. In Ottoman script. 1 p. Five lines. The Darülbedayi was an Ottoman imperial theatre established in Istanbul in 1914. Its history was closely linked to that of its director, the actor Muhsin Ertugrul. On 31 March 1920, the second regulation prepared by the Municipality has thirty-three articles, and with this regulation, Dârülbedayi became a theater that only gave representations. Upon the disagreement between the artists and the board, a significant number of the artists separated and established a private theater (The New Stage). The work of this group did not last long, and when the founder Ismail Faik Bey went bankrupt, the group fell apart. (Source: Tiyatromüzesi [i.e. Turkish Theater Museum]). Written on a special paper with letterhead 'Yeni Sahne' [i.e. The New Stage].
