Very Good Turkish Original autograph letter signed by Hikmet Birand. 28,5x20 cm. In Turkish. 2 p. Letterhead of "Ankara University Faculty of Science Botany Institute Directorate". To 'Münevver Hanim'. Birand was a Turkish academic, university administrator, botanical scholar, and author. He was the first botanist who worked on plant sociology in Turkey. He made efforts to establish the METU-Atatürk Forest, which was established in 1960.

Very Good Turkish Original TLS by Hikmet Münir Ebcioglu sent to Turkish poetess Halide Nusret Zorlutuna, (1901-1984). 30x21 cm. In Turkish (Modern). 1 p. 18 lines. Dated July 4, 1967, Istanbul. Ebcioglu mentions his article which would be published in 'Hayat' [i.e. Life] magazine and he thanks Zorlutuna. He started journalism in Vakit newspaper in 1927. He worked for various newspapers. He worked as an announcer and reporter at Ankara Radio. He won the Burhan Felek Press Service Award in 1984.

Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Original hand-drawing and hand-coloured cloth bdg. with anchor drawing. 16mo .(13 x 8 cm). In Ottoman script. [218] p., 2 hand-drawing ills. (a mosque and a ship). Used pen and pencils during the notebook. Notes written between the years of 1926-1930. Full; only several pages are blank. Signatures on first pages and cover. Starting date is September, 11, 1926. Notebook mostly includes his lecture and personal notes on navigation. Some of chapters: It starts with an epigraph by Doris (?). Notes from fantastic realms (wonders of the world): Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Colossus of Rhodes, Great Pyramids of Egypt, Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Lighthouse of Alexandria, etc. and their descriptions.; There are his course scores section in the name of 'Müzakere notlari'.; Navigation history notes.; His exam dates.; Diary for some days showing naval education in early Republican Turkey and some personal notes.; Some poems.; 'Beginning English for the Levant'.; Morse Alphabet with Ottoman script, etc. Cloth margins slightly rubbed, no missing. There is original pen pocket of note book, however its pen is missing. Some pages designed as an alphabetical index personally by writer. Otherwise it's a very good manuscript. No information on Hikmet Sakir.

A collection of four autograph letters signed 'Hikmet Turhan Daglioglu' with his business card, sent to Turkish poetess Halide Nusret Zorlutuna, (1901-1984).
Very Good Turkish, Ottoman (1500-1928) Original manuscript unpublished four autograph letters signed (ALS) by Hikmet Turhan Daglioglu to Halide Nusret Zorlutuna, (1901-1984), who was a Turkish poetess, and his husband Aziz Vecihi Zorlutuna who was a Turkish soldier. Three letters in Ottoman script, one is in modern Turkish with Latin letters. Dated 1943 with different periods of this year. Full. Approx. 20 lines on each paper. Daglioglu was a Turkish author, intellectual, museologist, specialist on Aleppo history, and deputy of Antalya city. A greetings content about his promotion to brigadier general in one letter which was written to Halide Nusret's husband, and interesting literary discussions on other three letters to Halide Nusret.
