‎Weinrotes Oasenziegenleder (257 x 200 x 49 mm) intarsiert mit kreisrunden Stücken verschiedener Ledersorten, wie Ziegen-, Kalb- und Emuleder, sowohl auf den Deckeln wie dem Rücken, dazwischen größere vergoldete Punkte, im Ganzen an Trauben und Sektperlen erinnernd. Handgestochene Kapitale in rot/grüner Seide über Pergamentbändchen. Spiegel und fliegende Vorsätze aus Kleisterpapier von Victoria Hall, ebenso die Innenseiten des klappbaren Buchkastens (281 x 223 x 69 mm) aus dunkelrotem Leinen mit Lederauflagen auf dem Rückenteil. Gebunden von Stephen Conway, Halifax, UK, mit seinem Etikett auf dem hinteren Spiegel des Buches sowie im Buchkasten. Vom Verleger Richard Leech signiertes Rezensionsexemplar der auf 600 Exemplare limitierten, erweiterten Neuauflage des erstmals 1913 bei Grand Richards Limited erschienenen Werkes. Als Grundlage des Nachdruckes diente das von Simon mit hunderten von Nachträgen durch handschriftliche Ergänzungen auf eingeschossenen Blättern fortgeführte Handexemplar, so daß das vorliegende Werk fast den doppelten Umfang der Erstausgabe hat. - Red morocco, gilt, with inlays, bound by Stephen Conway, Halifax, UK.
