The focus of the selection is clearly in German-speaking countries, including some women who were taken into account. The scope of the biographies varies from a few lines to extensive multi-page designs. The aim of the book was to work on the presentation of the outstanding influence of Jews in science and art on a political equality with the Christian citizens. It exists in two volumes. The first volume exists in the Lambeth Palace library (MS3) and covers Genesis to Job and is 328 pages of vellum measuring 518 x 353 mm.
