Di questo volgarizzamento duecentesco della Rhetorica ad Herennium (erroneamente attribuita a Cicerone, così come dubbia e l'identità dell'autore, Guidotto o Galeotto) Gamba curò l'edizione (Venezia 1821) basandosi sui Codici della Marciana, sulla precedente edizione di Domenico Maria Manni e su edizioni incunabole in suo possesso; nella sua “Serie di Testi di Lingua” il bibiografo cita questa ristampa forlivese, presumibilmente apocrifa, con certa stizza e sbagliandone la data: “Non conosco una ristampa data in Forlì, 1834, che sta in qualche Catalogo registrata”. Alle note e introduzione di Gamba si accompagnano una breve prefazione e una serie di note aggiunte.‎
