TREASURES FROM SHAKESPEARE. A selection of some of the more familiar passages from Shakespeare, who has done so much to enrich our language and shape our philosophy. Edited by Charles Brodie.
60p. Printed in red and black. Remarkable black endpapers printed with a black and red mask. 8vo. He worked for many years at N.W. Ayers in Philadelphia before starting his own typographic firm in 1927. He widely lectured on advertising typography and authored the important work: "Using Type Correctly." He greatest influence as a designer was probably as a consultant to the Merganthaler Linotype Company. Today he is probably best known for a private series of keepsakes and limited edition books distributed to friends at Christmas. We are pleased to be able to offer one of last of these here. Fine books from earlier Christmas seasons make great gifts today. **PRICE JUST REDUCED! CHRISTMAS/W67
