It is highly characteristic, referring as it does to the design shortcomings of a published document -'the matter of the Report is full of interest - but its presentation - ugh! What conceivable justification is there for the vast head-of-page margins (and diminutive tail-margins) on type pages - made all the sillier by the full page arrangements of illustrated pages.' A copy of a newspaper obituary of the author is also included. Contenant 22 planches mobiles (38 x 28, 5 cm), "pressées" sur un papier épais (Arches, France). La première planche indique seulement le titre et le nom des deux artistes. La dernière constitue le justificatif: 45 exemplaires signés et numérotés de 1 à 45 + 5 épreuves hors-commerce avec la date et le lieu de la publication). L'ouvrage consiste en l'alternance de planches de texte (il s'agit d'un long poème en vers libres et de planches d'illustrations). La moitié de celles-ci sont incolores mais fortement estampées (des formes non figuratives en relief = gros gauffrage); les autres illustrations sont, elles, lithographiées en noir, avec les mêmes formes non figuratives. Chaque lithographie en noir a son double avec les mêmes motifs en relief gauffré. Le texte, quant à lui, est composé d'une typographie également en léger relief. (Lettrage très légèrement estampé). Ouvrage peu courant, il n'y a pas eu de gros tirage, seuls 45 exemplaires ont été imprimés. Très bon

"The following fragment was found in the cover of an old book in the possession of a gentleman in the neighbourhood of Bath, and was lent to the editor by the Rev. J. Hunter of Torrington Square.
