London: London: Hutchinson and Co. Hard Cover. Eighth Impression. 7 1/2 x 5 1/2. 288 pp. Dedication is to Abel who is obviously from the Ivy Reataurant that Coward frequented. This copy is not in great shape. There is a warp to the front maroon cloth on boards binding from holding -bumps to corners and a bit of edge wear. A green crest shaped sticker on lower front " Boots .Library" I can't read the second word - starts with B No former owner's name on endpapers but there is foxing and soiling and hinging here. Books has this evidence of hinging but is still intact. Text has some foxing and top corner of the first 130 pp. has a bit of a wrinkle. Remainder mark on bottom edge. Dust soiling to edges. It is obvious that this book has been held in someone's hand a great deal of time You can feel this when you hold it. Perhaps by a director of the sketches. Overall cond: poor - fair.
