London.: Playgoer. No date. Ca. 1903. Miniature chromolithographic posters page size 9 x 6 inches replicating originals for two enormously popular musical comedies that opened on the London stage in 1902. The London successes were repeated when the comedies were presented in New York City and subsequently toured. The replicas in excellent condition are displayed in paper mats crafted by someone who couldn't use a ruler; they will need to be replaced. The New York Times wrote "It is just possible that there have been better musical comedies than.'Three Little Maids' which opened at Daly's last night but if there have nobody in the audience could think of them at the end of the evening." 2 September 1903 Regarding "Three Little Maids" the Washington Post wrote: "The piece has a consistent comic story pretty music plenty of snap and life and a company and chorus with good voices as well as good looks." 20 November 1904 The miniatures published in "Playgoer" magazine were printed by Weiners Ltd. London from their originals. The miniatures are brightly colored and in very good clean condition. . Playgoer. unknown

Cleveland: Colonial Theatre 1912. Staplebound. Very good. Octavo 16pp. illustrated. A very good copy in the publisher's printed stapled wraps. Playbill for a Cleveland production of Little Miss Brown a play by Philip Bartholomae. Most interesting to us is the prevalence of local advertisements. In the early years of automobile manufacturing Cleveland rivaled Detroit. There are no fewer than three advertisements for Cleveland-built electric cars including the Hupp-Yates the Baker and the Rauch and Lang. These last two firms merged in 1914 dating this playbill to slightly earlier. We don't locate any copies of this or any Colonial Theatre Magazine in OCLC. Scarce. [Colonial Theatre] unknown
