‎Unique édition de ces spéculations sur l'origine de l'écriture, du tétragramme divin, de la mythologie, où apparaît sous son jour le moins flatteur le manque de méthode et de critique de l'auteur. Les travaux de l'orientaliste Michelangelo Lanci (1779-1867) n'ont pas bonne presse : c'est que, formé dans la Rome papale du début du XIXe siècle, au moment où l'égyptologie n'était pas encore très affermie dans ses bases et sa méthodologie, il mêla dans ses recherches érudition minutieuse et spéculation parfois fantaisistes.
