‎Très intéressant exemplaire (reliure frottée, bon état intérieur), provenant de la bibliothèque du grand libraire Georges Heilbrun (avec son ex-libris), et bien complet de l'intégralité des prix d'adjudications (pour le premier catalogue) porté en margé à l'encre (prix de départ et prix d'arrivée). Guglielmo Libri fut certainement le plus grand voleur de livres et de manuscrits précieux du XIXe siècle ; il pilla notamment la bibliothèque Inguimbertine de Carpentras, la bibliothèque Royale, la bibliothèque de l'Arsenal, etc. Devant les soupçons qui pesaient sur lui, il réussit à s'enfuir en Angleterre où il réalisa pour une véritable fortune les trésors qu'il avait dérobés.
