<p>London: Caxton Publishing Co. Wade 235. Yeats' introduction is 35 pages long. Part of the Golden Poets series first printed by T. C. & E. C. Jack of Edinburgh in 1906 and here reprinted--exact dates unknown--by the Caxton Publishing Company apparently using the same plates since "Caxton" has been inserted in the same title page design used by Jack. The binding is brown cloth with gold lettering and an art-deco design in orange and same on spine although the design is in yellow. Top edge gilt. The illustrations 8 by King plus the frontispiece of Spenser and the title page vignette are all in fine condition. King's are reminiscent of the pre-Raphaelites and William Morris.Very good owner's name on first free endpaper some edgewear especially at spine pages somewhat browned by age and a few with edgewear but all clean and tight; most noticeable defects are a vertical wrinkle on the back cover and a small scratch on the front cover at the top. No dust jacket although we have covered it with an archival heavy plastic cover. Hard Cover. Illus. by Jessie M. King.</p> Caxton Publishing Co. hardcover
