Well received it was published and ran through several editions. In the original French. Illustrated with a frontispiece.Lesage was a prolific French satirical dramatist and author. In a full tree calf binding with gilt to spine. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear minor rubbing to spined and boards a touch of sunning to spine. Pencil ownership inscription to front blank page dated 1989. Internally firmly bound. Few spots to the odd leaf otherwise pages are generally bright and clean. Illustrated with a frontispiece.
