The set in the Sixth Edition complete in five volumes with Volumes 6 and 7 being An Appendix to Bacon's New Abridgement of the Law in two volumes alphabetically digested by Henry Willims. The five volume set printed by Luke White in Dublin in 1793 and the Appendix volumes printed by White in 1801. Each of the seven volumes with the signature of Philip Lightfoot -- perhaps the same Lightfoot of Culpeper County who served in the Continental Army Artillery from 1778-1781 and was a prominent lawyer and merchant the little town of Lightfoot Virginia near Williamsburg bears his name . The volumes also have the name of another Culpeper lawyer James French Strother. Uniformly bound in contemporary calf with a decorative roll in blind to the perimeters of each board and morocco labels minor loss to one label. Numbers are stamped in blind. Very Good binding.
