‎Paris, Pierre Giffart, 1707, in-4, [4]-552-[18] pp, Basane havane de l'époque, dos à nerfs et fleuronné, Supplément pour les livraisons du dernier jour de janvier 1707 au dernier jour de décembre 1707. Le journal des savants, fondé en 1665 par Denis de Sallo (1626 -1669), est la première revue scientifique européenne; elle parait de 1665 à 1792 et rencontre un immense succès, en atteste la production immédiate de contrefaçons. Le Journal est édité par l'abbé Jean-Paul Bignon (1662-1743), neveu du chancelier Pontchartrain, de 1701 à 1714, puis 1723 à 1739 : sous son impulsion est créé un bureau de six rédacteurs, pensionnés par le libraire, tandis que l'accent est remis sur les sciences, après plusieurs années dirigées par le byzantiniste Louis Cousin qui avait lis l'accent sur le droit et la religion. Bignon encourage de surcroît ses collaborateurs à entretenir des correspondances avec des savants de toute l'Europe (Dictionnaire des journaux). Ex-libris manuscrit sur la page de titre : "S.
