Filippo Neri", di Giacomo Ricci, nuovamente accresciuta. Brescia, Rizzardi, 1706, pp. 184,(4). “Filippo Neri (1515-1595), una delle figure più eminenti della riforma cattolica in Italia, dopo aver vagheggiato un'attività missionaria in India, costituì a Roma dapprima il suo Oratorio a S. Girolamo della Carità e, nel 1575, la Congregazione dell'Oratorio presso la chiesa di S. Maria in Vellicella. Santo veneratissimo nella città eterna, fu canonizzato nel 1622”. Cosi' Diz. Filippo. In fine sonetto dell'a. dedicato al Santo. Si tratta della biografia ufficiale di S. Filippo Neri basata sugli atti della canonizzazione, avvenuta nel 1622.
