Dust jacket not price clipped or marked or torn with minor creasing to upper edge. 272pp. In this volume, the author takes us through Forster's childhood and adolescence, with its mixed family background of Bohemia and prim respectability. Forster experienced a year or two of bitter unhappiness at his public school, but found happiness and awakening in the tolerant atmosphere of Cambridge and a further 'revelation' in Italy.
