"Ren� Cutforth 1909 -1984 was a British journalist television and radio broadcaster and writer. His first job was a clerk with the Midland Bank. In World War II he saw active service as a commissioned officer with the British Army in Ethiopia Eritrea and fought in the Western Desert Campaign where he was taken prisoner of war in 1941 spending the remainder of the war in prisoner of war camps in Italy and Germany. He joined the British Broadcasting Corporation on return to England in 1946 and became a well known broadcaster and travelled the world as a BBC correspondent. He reported on the Korean War. During his television broadcast career he wrote and produced several documentary series including Bird's Eye View a televisual study of the British Isles from the air and The British Empire - Echoes of Britannia's Rule . Reviewing one of Cutforth's television programmes entitled The Forties Revisited the critic Clive James wrote in The Observer: "Cutforth is that rare thing a front man with background. Fitzrovia and Soho weigh heavily on his eyelids. His voice sounds like tea-chests full of books being shifted about.".He died in his 76th year at Great Maplestead in the county of Essex on 1 April 1984." wiki. He was the CEO and owner of the company Zwack. Zwack is a Budapest Hungary based company that makes liqueurs and spirits. The company produces an 80 proof 40% alcohol herbal liqueur known as Unicum from a secret blend of more than forty different herbs and spices. Unicum is known as one of the national drinks of Hungary.During World War II the Zwack factory was damaged and production stopped. After the war the factory was nationalized in 1948 by the communist Hungarian Working People's Party. The Zwack family fled the country. J�nos Zwack with his son P�ter Zwack great grandson of J�zsef was able to escape with the original Zwack recipe. B�la Zwack remained behind to give the communist government a fake Zwack recipe and went on to become a regular factory worker. Meanwhile J�nos and P�ter migrated to the United States eventually settling in the Bronx in 1949 when P�ter was 22 years old.In 1988 just one year before the fall of Communism P�ter Zwack returned to Hungary and resumed production with the original Zwack formula. He repurchased his family business from the State in the summer of 1989 and by the spring of 1990 the original Zwack product was reintroduced to the Hungarian market. G. "John Bunyan baptised 30 November 1628 � 31 August 1688 was an English writer and Baptist preacher best remembered as the author of the Christian allegory The Pilgrim's Progress. In addition to The Pilgrim's Progress Bunyan wrote nearly sixty titles many of them expanded sermons. Bunyan came from the village of Elstow near Bedford. He had some schooling and at the age of sixteen joined the Parliamentary army during the first stage of the English Civil War. After three years in the army he returned to Elstow and took up the trade of tinker which he had learned from his father. He became interested in religion after his marriage attending first the parish church and then joining the Bedford Meeting a nonconformist group in Bedford and becoming a preacher. After the restoration of the monarch when the freedom of nonconformists was curtailed Bunyan was arrested and spent the next twelve years in jail as he refused to undertake to give up preaching. During this time he wrote a spiritual autobiography Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners and began work on his most famous book The Pilgrim's Progress which was not published until some years after his release". wiki.
