A UNIQUE AUTOGRAPH ALBUM BELONGING TO RAYMONDE HALLAURE OF LE HAVRE born 1890 with an eclectic collection of art and verse by various Norman notables some of whom I have identified of the early 20th century album used from 1902 to 1910. The album comprises about 100 leaves of which the last 80 or so are blank. Contents: Leaf 1 recto: A signed drawing signature illegible in purple ink of a cavalry officer and a lady riding together. At the bottom are three fine and detailed sketches of uniformed French soldiers. Leaf 2 recto: An extremely fine India ink drawing in the same hand as the drawing on leaf 1 depicting a French cavalry officer watching his horse drink. Leaf 3 recto: An excellent landscape rendered in pencil. Signed dated and dedicated. Signature illegible. Leaf 4 recto: A poem entitled "Le lotus" adorned with a beautiful watercolor roundel depicting reeds on a river at sunset. The page is signed "Marcelle Fi�ve" a contempoary of the owner of the album. Leaf 5 recto: A drawing in the art nouveau style dedicated dated and signed "Simone". Leaf 6: A poem signed "Octavie".
