Il nostro esemplare è il numero 174 su 500 ed è stampato su velina Johannot. All'interno quattro incisioni su legno in blu di nudi mascolini tre delle quali fuori testo. In discrete condizioni. Copertina editoriale in mediocri condizioni con usure e mancanze ai margini e dorso. Legatura in discrete condizioni con rotture. Pagine in ottime condizioni con rare fioriture. In 8. Dim. 23,5x19 cm. Pp. 86+(8). Not dated edition but of 1949 circa of the famous wrotic work by the french novelist and writer Jean Cocteau (1889-1963). Cocteau wrote the work in 1927 in Chablis dehere the author stayed with Jean Desbordes. this tale about sexual intiation was published anonymous without indication of editor or date. Our copy is the number 174 on 500 copy and it is published in paper Johannot. Inside there are four woodcuts in blu of malee nakes of which three are out of text. In fair conditions. Editorial cover in poor general conditions lightly worn in the extremities. Binding in fair conditions with cracks. Pages are in very good conditions with occasional foxing. In 8. Dim. 23,5x19 cm. A l'enseigne "des petites vertus", s.d. (1930). [Maurice Duflou, Darantière imprimeur] 1 volume in-8 (19,5 x 14,5 cm), broché, 255-(1) pages. 1 eau-forte en frontispice et 8 eaux-fortes hors-texte. Très frais. Brochage quasi à l'état de parution (le dos est intact, les plats également). Couverture de papier gris-bleu imprimée en rose-rouge sur le premier plat (titre et fleuron), au dos on lit le titre "Moi, Poupée" et la date "1930". Édition originale clandestine. Tirage annoncé à 400 exemplaires (sans doute moins en réalité). Celui-ci, un des 350 exemplaires sur vergé antique (numéroté au composteur). Ouvrage publié clandestinement par Maurice Duflou et réservé aux seuls souscripteurs et non mis dans le commerce. Volume annoncé achevé d'imprimer le 20 octobre 1930 (sans doute chez Darantière à Dijon). Dutel, dans sa Bibliographie des ouvrages érotiques publiés clandestinement en français entre 1920 et 1970 indique Johannes Gros comme auteur de cet "excellent texte" publié "vers 1930". On trouve également le nom de Renée Dunan adjoint parfois à cet ouvrage sous le pseudonyme de Spaddy. C'est Jean-Jacques Pauvert, dans la présentation de la réédition récente aux éditions La Musardine, qui donne les explications les plus complètes au sujet de ce livre : "Voici encore une découverte. Découverte d'un livre pratiquement inconnu, infiniment rare, qui ne figure sans aucune bibliographie spécialisée (Dutel désormais), à part l'excellent Private Case de Patrick J. Kearney, ni dans aucune (à notre connaissance) bibliothèque publique. On ne le trouve que dans de rares collections privées. Il est mentionné chez Alexandrian, sans aucun commentaire. Le livre fut publié (clandestinement, cela va sans dire) chez Maurice Duflou. Sa typographie est très reconnaissable. De même que son auteur, dont le style est également très personnel, est incontestablement Johannès Gros, comme l'appelle Alexandrian, ou Jean Gros, comme chez Patrick Kearney... A ce sujet, Patrick J. Kearney, apporte une confirmation intéressante à Alexandrian, page 198 de son Private Case, à la mention de Moi, Poupée, il écrit : "Dans une liste de livres offerts à la vente en 1977 par le collectionneur M. Alain Kahn-Sriber de Paris, il est énoncé que le pseudonyme "Spaddy" cache l'identité de Renée Dunan. Mon attribution à Jean Gros est prise du catalogue manuscrit de la collection C.R. Dawes, dans lequel M. Daves sous-entend qu'il a connu l'auteur de ces livres." Il est probable qu'Alain Kahn-Sriber, collectionneur averti, mais nullement bibliographe, s'était contenté de recopier ce que beaucoup croyaient à l'époque... Les témoignages d'Alexandrian et de C.R. Dawes sont beaucoup plus probants. Nous avons dit de Johannès Gros ou Jean Gros tout ce qu'on peut en dire. C'est-à-dire à peu près tout ce que l'on sait. Alexandrian, pour qui Johannès Gros est "l'héritier spirituel d'Andréa de Nerciat au XXe siècle", écrit très justement à son sujet que "[sa] perversité exaspérée, [son] style à la fois précieux et cru sont peu communs." Car "l'auteur se plait justement au contraste du maniérisme et de l'obscénité dans les propos et les actions de ses personnages.", et "Associant toujours le vice au luxe, se plaisant à imaginer des mondaines ravissantes se conduisant salement, Johannès Gros est le chantre de la beauté polluée qui sort intacte de ses souillures." Dans Moi, Poupée, on peut dire que Gros pousse à son maximum la volupté de se rêver dans les dentelles, les frous-frous et les robes soulevées à la moindre occasion d'une jolie mondaine, jusqu'à s'imaginer en être véritablement une, ce qui semble avoir été sa principale obsession. Nul doute, qu'il se trouvera beaucoup de lecteurs pour partager ce fantasme." (Jean-Jacques Pauvert, Préface à Moi, Poupée, ed. La Musardine, 2012). Exemplaire bien complet des 9 eaux-fortes. Ni Dutel (qui les cite simplement) ni les autres bibliographes (Alexandrian, Pauvert, Kearney) n'évoquent les illustrations qui ornent ce volume. Nous croyons reconnaître pour auteur de ces jolies eaux-fortes libres P. BELOTTI qui illustra à la même époque plusieurs ouvrages érotiques publiés clandestinement (Jacinthe ou les images du péché). Référence : Dutel, Bibliographie des ouvrages érotiques publiés clandestinement en français entre 1920 et 1970, n°2.003. Volume qui manquait aux principales collections de livres érotiques clandestins (Nordmann, etc). Superbe clandestin illustré de la plus grande rareté. Un vrai introuvable !
