In-8° (cm. 23x17,3), pp. 207, (1) + la copertina della brossura originale conservata + 20 TAVOLE in LITOGRAFIA (Etabl. Cap, Paris), "terminées en COLEURS" e con 3 TAVOLE a piena pagina bicolori nel testo. Mirabile LEGATURA coeva d'amatore in piena pelle color caffè con sfumature beige e decorazione in oro a tondi e filetti intrecciati al piatto ant.,. ti. oro al dorso, sguardie in carta decorata a tonalità arancioni e brune, 4 sguardie bianche all'inizio e 4 alla fine, piatto anteriore ill. conservato all'interno. "La Rose de sable" fu terminato nel 1932 , ma non pubblicato allora, per patriottismo in qianto implicante una critica alla politica coloniale francese. Nel 1938 lo pubblicò a sue spese in poche copie col titolo "Mission providentielle" e pseudonimo "François Lazerge". Questa edizione contiene solo, pur completa, "L'Hisotire d'amour". L'edizione definitiva apprve solo nel 1968. IQuesto esemplare si raccomanda non solo per il sensualissimo corredo di tavole nello stile inconfondibile di Chimot; ma anche per la speciale legatura.
