br. Gli Orishas sono divinità della religione afrocubana. I racconti sono esempi dello straordinario sincretismo culturale, frutto della fusione di elementi mitologici indigeni e cristiani. La figura di Shangò, per fare un esempio, è il dio yoruba del fuoco e della guerra, controlla i fulmini ed è associato alla divinità cristiana di Santa Barbara. In-8° (cm. 24,2), pp. 13 (da p. 101 a p.113). Brossura provvisria con titolo dattilogafico, cifra ea penna e strappi al piatto anteriore. Ottimo l'interno che reca stampigliata la data 1937. BERTACCHI (Chiavenna 1869 - Milano 1942). La sua poesia subì fortemente l'influsso di Giovanni Pascoli, sia per quanto riguarda la ricerca delle forme metriche, sia per il caratteristico gusto per le descrizioni del paesaggio. Docente di letteratura italiana a Padova dal 1916 al 1938, quando lasciò volontariamente l'insegnamento prendendo posizione contro il fascismo [mentre invece in questa raccolta, prima delle leggi razziste, esordisce con una citazione di Mussolini, ]. Autore di studi critici su Dante, Leopardi, Manzoni, Alfieri, Mazzini. La sua prima e forse più importante opera poetica è il Canzoniere delle Alpi, pubblicata nel 1895. Intorno ai 60 anni cominciò a scrivere poesie in dialetto chiavennasco, pervase di nostalgia per l'infanzia e per i suoi luoghi d'origine (wiki).
