Crippa infatti propone un incessante intervallarsi di poesie e racconti con uno sguardo rivolto ai moti interiori, quelli che regolano le molteplici esperienze umane. Il suo scopo è ricercare e indagare le diversità che unificano le vite delle persone anche se tali vite sono tra di loro distanti in modo apparentemente incolmabile. Tutto ciò mettendo se stesso in relazione con gli altri, perché proprio nello sguardo appassionato e compatito di se stessi, di ciò che siamo, l'autore trova le più grandi comprensioni, i più grandi amori e le più grandi trasformazioni. Forse, in questo senso, ciò di cui molti necessitano è una sorta di accettazione, un'accettazione non umile e striminzita, ma magica e magnificente. In una sola espressione l'intento nel comporre "Le alchimie dell'anima" sta in una poetica accettazione.

br. Un poema d'amore per la vita questo di Cosimo Crisafio per tutto ciò che essa toglie e dà, una vita amata anche se ferisce e lascia qualche rimpianto. E la vita scorre con il ritmo del mare, il respiro del mare attraversa tutto il testo, permeato da una profonda umanità. "Il mare è un cuore infinito...il cuore è un mare infinito..." scrive il poeta, il mare è sentito come grembo materno, come speranza, ma la stessa profondità e grandiosità appartiene al cuore umano, nell'interazione tra macrocosmo e microcosmo. Il suo primo ricordo del mare è quello dei suoi occhi di bambino che si aprono allo stupore davanti alla maestà di un mare visto dal finestrino di un treno che lo porta lontano dalla sua terra, ma per molti oggi che sono costretti a lasciare la loro terra il mare è "abisso infinito" e "camera mortuaria". Eppure "il mare non è assassino", i potenti della terra lo sono, coloro che ritengono che tutto ha un prezzo e mercanteggiano con la vita del prossimo trattato come eccedenza umana e a cui è stato tolto ogni valore.
