The exterior spine shows chipping with tears present on the bottom half. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. All the maps are present and in excellent condition. No library marks or handwriting present nothing torn or loose. Washington DC: Historical Division - US War Department 1945. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details: two tall softcover books both appear to be first printings by the US War Department. Both are in similar condition of VG although the order book grades on the low-end because of a torn page. Neither book has any handwriting or library markings present. The first title: "From the Volturno to the Winter Line 6 October-15 November 1943" was published in 1944 and contains 119 pages with the foldout maps present and in good shape. The last text page does have a crimp/tear in the upper corner - which is shown in one of the photos. The second book: " Fifth Army at the Winter Line 15 November 1943 - 15 January 1944" was published in 1945 and contains 117 pages. Both books show toning and spotting to the exterior with this being more prominent on the lighter cover. Each book has been placed in a protective mylar bag and this sale is for both titles at one price. <br/> <br/> Historical Division - US War Department paperback

Washington DC: Historical Division - US War Department 1945. 1st Edition . Soft cover. Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details: two separate softcovers both are the original WWII publications and not newer reprints. The first book The Admiralties contains 151 pages and shows a publication date of 1 December 1945. This book only grades as a low "good" as the exterior shows creasing scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner wear. There is also a document stamp on the front that is also on the title page. The rear cover is torn from the spine about 1 inch at the bottom and the title page contains an address label as well as a document stamp stating the book originally belonged to HQ CO. "C" 211th INF. Florida National Guard Hollywood FL. The second book titled To Bizerte With the II Corps published 1943 grades as a high VG and contains 80 pages plus numerous foldout maps all of which appear to be in excellent condition. This book does not contain any handwriting or bookplates or any other markings. The condition shows some toning and soiling from handling wear along with also bumps and wear to the edges and corners. Each book has been placed in a separate mylar bag. This sale is for both books which are shown in the photos. br. Le chiamavano Streghe della notte. Nel 1941, un gruppo di ragazze sovietiche riesce a conquistare un ruolo di primo piano nella battaglia contro il Terzo Reich. Rifiutando ogni presenza maschile, su fragili ma duttili biplani, mostrano l'audacia, il coraggio di una guerra che può avere anche il volto delle donne. La loro battaglia comincia ben prima di alzarsi in volo e continua dopo la vittoria. Prende avvio nei corridoi del Cremlino, prosegue nei duri mesi di addestramento, esplode nei cieli del Caucaso, si conclude con l'ostinata riproposizione di una memoria che la Storia al maschile vorrebbe cancellare.
