Il processo che ne segue è la farsa agghiacciante di una pachidermica e impietosa macchina di potere, che passa da una forma di orrore omicida a un'altra, guidata in realtà solo dagli astrusi interessi di una minoranza. Scritto nel 1935 e adattato per il grande schermo nel 1957 da Stanley Kubrick, "Orizzonti di gloria" è una storia di coraggio e sacrificio: un romanzo, scritto da un reduce e ispirato a fatti realmente accaduti, che possiede sia il realismo viscerale del diario di guerra che il senso kafkiano dell'allegoria.
